Commissioning a Gabriel Krekk Original Watercolor, what do I need to do? Gabriel works extensively from photographic images as well as digital images. If you have a photograph that you are considering to have painted, review the generic "2007 Pricing Guide" . All prices listed are in U.S. Funds. Here are 4 easy steps you need to follow to begin the process. 1) Review the 2007 Generic Pricing Sheet which can be activated with the button on the left.. Compare your image that you are considering to have painted to one of the five Complexity Levels on the pricing guide. 2) Choosing the right size for the painting begins by selecting the location in your residence or gallery where you would like to hang the original. Add an additional four inches to each size of the original to compensate for the matting and framing. An original image area size of 12" x 16" will be have at least 20" x 24" total area after framing. 3) Pick one or more sizes from the pricing guide that you are considering. Sizes outside the largest listed size are also available through requests. 4) Getting your image to the artist for final pricing can be done through one of two methods. Method #1: If you have access to a scanner or digital camera, convert your photograph to jpg or tif format. Compress the file and E-mail this image to the artist. At this point resolution should be approximately 72 dpi for easy transmission or Method #2 - Mail the photo to the artist. Every photo will be returned to the owner along with a written firm estimate with at least three size options along with the Contract for Commissioning form and also with a Copyright Release form. Instructions will be included. Is there any guarantee to protect me if I do not like the painting that I have Commissioned? Every Realist artist strives to capture the subject material as closely as possible to what they see. The majority of the time, the interpretation from sight to the final painting are remarkable, but oft times there may be a slight variation. In such circumstances this variation may be enough to detract the Commissioner from actually wanting to own the finished work of art. Gabriel Krekk stands firmly behind every piece of his art and if any individual is not satified with their commissioned piece, then the downpayment is returned to the individual and the Commissioning Contract is voided. Gabriel Krekk will keep the original and maintain all copyrights to this image. This is the best Guaranty from any Artist in the world. How do I accept my Commissioned original work of Art? Upon completing the original work of art, a Final Viewing is requested by the Artist. This can be done at his studio, or if the distance is too great, then the original is digitally photographed and converted to a watermarked jpg image and e-mailed to you. An Acceptance Release Form will be sent to you which must be signed and dated and mailed back to the artist. When the Artist receives this final documentation and the final outstanding balance, the process of delivering the original to you begins. How do I receive my Commissioned original work of Art? Every original work of art is packaged in a heavy duty cardboard Gabriel Krekk Limited Edition container, conservation mounted inside and protected with a sheet of acid free vellum. .
