June 2007 Newsletter E-News

My Dear friends,

I would like to wish you all a wonderful and safe summer.
Much has happened in the past few months that I would
like to share with you.

In March, I traveled to the beautiful States of Arizona and California and experienced my first sightings of the wonders of our World. I spent time at the Grand Canyon , in the Mojave Desert , the Windmill farms of California , hiking North Mountain , visited London bridge at Lake Havasu City and Parker Dam and stayed in Yucca Valley outside of the Joshua Tree National Park.  There is always wonderment in new places. I visited the galleries in Scottsdale , Arizona and took two days to travel to Los Angeles to meet with the Infusion Gallery.  The combination of personal and business travel was a perfect balance to this vacation.

Be well,

Gabe

New Business

Contracts have been signed with the Infusion Gallery in Los Angeles and also with the Agora Gallery in New York City for Representation and Exhibition of my work.

The Los Angeles exhibition opens September 1st – September 25th with the New York City exhibition opening September 28th – October 18th.

The extent of promotions by both these galleries will establish an powerful foothold in the U.S. of my work.

A confirmation letter was received from curator Susan Holland from the John M. Parrott Gallery in Belleville , that they will be hosting a five week solo exhibition of my work opening February 21st of 2008.

Still waiting to hear back from a well established gallery I visited during the gallery tour in Phoenix and Scottsdale , Arizona in March.

This summer,   I am visiting galleries in the  U.S. Midwest states of Michigan , Indiana and Illinois to explore the possibilities of additional Exhibitions for 2007 and 2008.

Competitions

Expressions 2007 – Juried Exhibition – Belleville , Ontario – for the first time in my career, both of my submissions for juried competition were accepted.  “ The Winds of Montana” and “ Harlequin Unbridled” were the two paintings entered, and both of these paintings will be shipped as part of my collection of originals to the New York City exhibition.

My personal view of the Expressions 2007 competition…It is the best competition that I have ever experienced…the talent that has emerged from this region is definitely world class and the Quinte Arts Council should be commended on their superb hosting of this show.   It was an honor to be a part of this event.
